Can I fix my broken toilet seat and put the seat lid back on?

During a recent 7 day migraine I fainted head/body first onto the toilet. The lid was closed at the time but came off instantly. And now the seat swivels to the left at the lightest touch.
Sorry for the tons of pictures but I really want to fix this myself and maybe all the angles will help. I’ve tried and tried to no avail but it seems like I’m so close!
Any advice or instructions would be much appreciated!

Cat toy storage advice

I have this basket sitting around and I’m thinking of *trying* to toss the cat toys in there throughout the day or end of day to tidy up a bit.

But they love these little springs and those will fall through the cracks if I pick up or move the basket.

Does anyone have suggestions to help? I was thinking of lining it with some sort of cloth, but I want it to look at least halfway decent and I’m not crafty AT ALL! And both cats are addicted to any kind of paper, so that’s out.

Thanks in advance!
