This is my first portrait after switching from gouache, which has the completely opposite ruleset of layering from light to dark. I’m having issues trying to get my lights to look bright enough while not looking like the paper underneath. Any tips and advice for making realistic fur would be so SO appreciated.
(Not abandoning gouache, I plan on using both together at some point. I love gouache so much, but am having better luck with colored pencils lately)
