So, recently joined the Army, which has come with a looooot of running, so I purchased my first pair of real running shoes, the Novablast 5's, and shortly after a pair of megablasts. The novablasts felt fantastic, and the megablasts even a league above those. I have to say I do prefer the feel of the megablasts over the nova's (for $80 more I better) but that probably means i like a bit more of a firmer, responsive ride. I've been considering what to try next that might give me a similar feel, looking at the Superblast 3's and Magic Speed 5 for different runs, sticking with Asics, what might other brands have to offer that would be similar? Heard a lot about the Vomero plus's, or Puma Deviate Nitro 4 for a plated option. The biggest issue is my feet are pretty wide, but not in the toe box, my mid foot is pretty wide. The megablasts are a bit snug in the middle, but i think they'll break in. Traditionally a lot of Puma's and Adidas have felt pretty narrow to me, even going up a half size. Asics so far fit pretty well

Also looking at a max cushion recovery option, Vomero premium, Puma magmax 2, and Gel nimbus 28's, thoughts on those or others?

So I'm currently awaiting to start AIT for the army, my investigation started late af because they slotted me into someone elses slot, so my investigation didn't start until Jan 17th, and I showed up here on Feb 4th (Skipped basic because prior service)

Been stuck here ever since because DCSA didn't issue me an interim (some minor oopsies in my past, whatever) ive been pushing along in Holds. My second interview was just over a month ago, nothing since thej. I just spoke with S2 yesterday and he told me my stuff is finally with Adjudications, he's submitted for an expedited decision or interim (can't remember which). I've heard good news from others in my situation that recently they've been pushing those through. The s2 guy here is really good and apparently has a lot of pull, he even remembered my name immediately and knew my situation (we've never even spoken) he told me he's trying his absolute hardest to get me out of here. I understand his influence is very limited, but realistically, what are my odds to get a good to go by the next class in 2 weeks?
