Sweet Treat HyperRealism Drawing on Drafting Film.
Really had a great time drawing this hyper-realistic bowl of Haribo Starmix on drafting film. If you've drawn on this stuff before, you'll know that you basically draw the thing twice - once on the front, and again on the back! That's how I get the punchiest colours.
No idea how long it took me....maybe about 14 hours total? I only work for about 3 hours at a time, sometimes less.
The best bit might have been eating my reference material, but a close second is how translucent I managed to make everything. I particularly like the green gummies.
They're in a Vintage Victorian crystal sweetie jar, which you can see peeking in from the edges.
Reference is my own. Taken with my phone from directly overhead.
Used Derwent Lightfast - and one or two Luminance. On Grafix Drafting Film. Double matte. 0.005 weight.
