I’m replacing a metal-enclosed bathroom light with a plastic one. As expected, the existing metal one has a standard 3 core cable. As the new one is plastic, it only has terminals for live and neutral, so I just need to check my plan for terminating the earth cable makes sense…

As the earth already has a sleeve, I was intending just terminating it in a Wago box and tucking this in the fixture.

I’ve included pictures of the existing light, new light, and Wago box. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The only additional thing to mention is that our bathroom extractor fan is also linked to the lighting circuit and I’m not sure if this has any implications for my plan?
