Recently, I have been trying to figure out how to get into research without YPRI or the Yale Summer Program. From what I have heard from friends and those older than me, my best bet is to cold-call. But I have little to no idea how to do it correctly in terms of who I should get connected with or how to structure the e-mail in a manner that would get the attention of the reader. For those who read this, please offer any advice, whether big or small.
