I (33m) had Root Canal Therapy on my lateral incisor back in December. This is a tooth with a crown (if that helps) from a prior hockey injury. That same injury has me with a bridge from canine to central incisor.
They did it in two stages, first with medicating and cleaning the canal, and then filling 5 weeks later. This process finished mid December, but I never saw the relief and continue to have a lot of discomfort with this tooth. Not hot and cold but pressure and nerve pain that still feels like it’s coming from the tooth.
The checks for Bite Fit, potentially clenching and all the rest have been done. I’m wearing a retainer at night.
The most recent pursuit has me with an Endodontist who performed an Xray and CBCT and confirmed the filling looks solid and no noticeable bone loss. I’ll try to get those pics for the group asap.
He’s gone in and cleaned out the old filling and is re-medicating with a stronger antibiotic. This unfortunately hasn’t helped. To me it feels like the tooth could have a bit of play/movement. I could try a full time retainer I guess.
I’m still quite uncomfortable and have started Lyrica for nerve pain so just looking for some wisdom of the crowd.
Are we missing anything else that could cause this?

Have any of you experienced pain long after RCT?
Thanks in advance!
