My fiancée and I are on a transatlantic destined for Barcelona; our cruise line have advised there's a grand total of 8 EES kiosks there and they've seen waiting times of 3-4 hours at the worst.

My partner is dual citizen UK and an EU country, she's carrying both passports but is booked onto the cruise with her UK passport. I'm plain old UK only.

The cruise line is suggesting she'd also need to complete EES which I believe is incorrect. Last time we passed through BCN airport I got to use her freedom of movement rights & use the EU passport holders queue to exit Spain/the EU.

Has anyone had recent encounters in the cruise terminal as a (or with a) dual national & can confirm what to expect?

I'm on a TA right now and spotted that when redeeming a daily free coffee from Blue Extras a small charge is still applied ($1.20 for a double espresso, $0.80 for a flat white).

Sailor Services said it's tax but we're being charged menu prices with no added VAT on alcoholic drinks. Is this correct?

It's tiny amounts so it's not bothersome, more interested!
