Hello. I'm not plural, I just have a question regarding plurality. I've made a throwaway account because I otherwise use the same username everywhere and I don't want these systems to be bothered if they don't have to be.

For context, the server is at about 100 members and growing. This is a public, community space for a fandom, not a friend server.

I've added a proxy bot for them and I'm glad they're making good use of it. They're valued members of our community. They contribute and are very active. I enjoy having them around and the main chatters seem to as well. I do get a little worried, however, when someone starts conversing publically with their own alters. Is this normal and okay to let it be? Is it something that I Should be worried about and DMing them about?

The conversations generally revolve around their experiences with plurality and how each alter speaking acts, or are small asides between alters that read as close friends/family making in-jokes, the former of which isn't unwelcome in general and spam channels, but also (obviously, since it's a fandom server) isn't the topic of the community. The latter likely just feels strange because, well...

I'm not familiar with plurality so I don't want to step on toes, but I feel like I'm intruding when they start using the proxy to have conversations between their own alters in the server, and I worry that this will ultimately make other community members feel similarly and less inclined to chat. Conversation tends to drop off or move when they do this until they stop.

I want this to be a space for everyone, but if this is behaviour that needs a talk, I need to know so I can help and smooth things out where possible. I also need to know if I'm overreacting and just need to get used to it and placate anyone who might come to me about it.

Whatever the consensus is, I just want to know how to best proceed. I'm here to listen.

Thank you for any insight and I'm genuinely sorry if this doesn't fit the sub - I will go elsewhere if necessary.
