First kit guitar, fretboard is two pieces. Is this normal?
Trying to get some perspective here. I recently ordered my first kit guitar from Combine Guitars. For reference it was the 7-string multiscale headless. Say what you will about the design, but the reviews were good and it suits my personal taste.
What is surprising to me was the fingerboard. It's two pieces of rosewood that have been glued together.
Am I being unreasonable in considering a return/exchange for the neck? I've never seen a two piece fingerboard before and while I'm sure it's not going to affect the playability of the instrument, I'm a little annoyed that the grain isn't consistent. Especially considering this is not a cheap kit at ~420 USD.
All the other aspects of the kit seem fine. High quality hardware, neck fits the socket well.
