Why is PSA magazine allowing such an obvious grift?

This is what came with the latest psa magazine. Instead of an actual promo card from an established tcg, we get a teaser card with a code to redeem a card. Not crazy unheard of except:

  • The cards are obviously ai generated with celebrity faces
  • It claims some might be autographed, by who? The celebrity that isn't associated?
  • The redemption code doesn't redeem anything, it takes you to a survey so they can get market research
  • Finally, submit all of your information so we can mail you a card "after the promotion period" without any date provided

This screams scam and a way to just get as much information out of people under the guise of giving away a promo card, which for the record, is what psa magazine has always done without this back and forth obvious data grab. Do you even get anything? Nobody knows because the promo code is more like an invite code and not linked to any actual card the was predetermined.

Before you say this is unrelated to the grading service, you're required to have a membership, which also sends the magazine. How can I still think the grading service is reputable with this and all the goldin stuff going on?
