Grandmother's Little Helper
Seen a few "modular with Moog Yaiyia (Greek for Grandmother)" posts over the years. Here's what my stab at it ended up looking like for the next time someone comes looking. I knew I wanted it to be no wider than the GM, be able to be played multiple ways (sequencing the GM, running independently when I don't want to haul her to my friend's house, and being able to interface with other people's setups), be able to both modulate and be modulated by the GM, and have the one thing that she's truly lacking on her own: a delay a la the one in the Matriarch.
The Basics: Vermona Melodicer as a sequencer, Pam's Pro for clocking, Rangoon (Rings clone with sliders), Veno Echo delay (able to do independent but synced left/right inputs).
The GM into the Rings resonator input is wild, especially with some noise generated by GM. Seems like Rings prefers some noise for triggers. I'm sure a Maths-y modulation brain would be fun to have in there, but I feel like I'll be able to play with this for years and not exhaust the surprising tones.
