The TV is a 50 inch UE50CU8000K model roughly 3 years old.
Never had any problems previously but this morning it started going berserk.
Every (roughly) 2 minutes it powers down and restarts entering a loop until you unplug it.
It is currently in the start-up phase of a factory reset and it is still doing it so it's definetly hardware related, tried all the power cycling, removing hdmi cables etc etc.
I did try to post a video as it would have been more useful in showing what it does but it effectively goes from normal screen to black instantly while leaving a slow bleed of colour near the bottom that washes away after a second or so.
My questions is, does this sort of thing have a usual culprit?
I am buying a new TV this afternoon but i would like to know what is causing this and look at getting it sorted at some point if not too expensive.
