Hi everyone,
I’m an international student and I recently received admission to the Bachelor’s in Artificial Intelligence at Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), Austria.
However, my admission letter says that before full admission I need to complete supplementary exams in Mathematics, Physics, and History.
I had a few questions for students who have gone through this process:
Are these supplementary exams difficult to pass?
Is the syllabus very hard or manageable with proper study?
Would self-study be enough, or is it better to join the preparatory courses in Austria?
On the website/letter it says that successful completion of the preparatory course is considered equivalent to passing the supplementary exams. Is that actually true? What exactly does that mean in practice?
Which option would you personally recommend: self-study + direct exams, or the preparatory course?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has studied at JKU or gone through the Austrian supplementary exam system.
Thanks!
