Why does everyone keep saying Lara and Megan were gossiping and spreading rumours about Manon when it could just as easily be 2 sad friends confiding in their other friend about something? That they are bummed and were just trying to deal with that? Why are we instantly going to Megan and Lara doing this out of malice and not just 2 barely 20 year old girls trusting someone they shouldn’t have and confiding in him about the sorrows of their life?

I don’t think the girls meant anything bad by it. I think they were asked, and since it was a trusted friend, they told him about how Manon may not come back.
