No AI evaluation studies, anyone else?

Posted the title on purpose and since this sub lacks a mod who’s at all interested…. Wondering if maybe we can have one post that we all post to each day or so to keep it near the top so the sub is not flooded with the same question 500 times a day.

My input is ….. they are tasks with highs and lows, if you’re new and have immediately been given access to them, it might seem great but this is not normal for prolific, it is not and never has been a platform where you have hundreds of tasks daily with a guaranteed income. Sometimes they disappear for a day or 2, sometimes they go away for weeks or months at a time for some people and no one really knows why. Sometimes they come in massive floods and you might think this is how it is all the time but it’s not.

Even if we just chat random shit to keep this near the top lol. Anyone got pets? Dogs? Cats? Tarantulas? lol.

How can I save her?

I found this plant dumped so took her home and have tried my best to give new life to her but she seems unhappy. I did try to search first and have done my best but a few things....

The base part was all rotten and dead leaves so I cut them all off, did what I could with what I had available soil wise (normal garden compost mixed with perlite and pumice)..... But I was worried to put that part where I'd removed the leaves into the soil in case it rotted so just replanted at the level it was planted before.

I gave it a good watering and have now left the soil to dry out as I believe they don't like to be consistently wet. In that time, a couple more leaves have become skinny and appear to be dead and if you're able to see in my pics, the part right above where I removed all the dead leaves and the new growth is, has turned a little brown but doesn't appear to be getting worse.

I tell her nice things everyday lol but I'm worried she's gonna die.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Anyone think Prolific is going to become the next big AI training platform?

Hey troops, hope you're all doing well. This post is just out of boredom really haha and wondering if anyone thinks the same as me......

I feel like recently, prolific has onboarded a huge amount of new participants and I'm wondering if they're slowly moving from being an academic research platform, to an AI training one .... More indicative to the likes of Outlier, Mercor, Data Annotation etc. .

I personally wouldn't see this as a bad thing but also ... I'm teaching myself through online and paid courses some coding skills etc. In the hope that if the platform does move in the direction I think it will, I can at least have some skills to show.

Just curious and bored and wondering what you all think.

How would you feel if they did do that?
