His 1st over leaked some runs but he didn't lose the spirit and bowled brilliantly after that. Even in the game with CSK ,he bowled with a good economy. He might not be a wicket taker but he sure builds pressure and I'm glad that his years of hard work finally paid off in the end.
PS: SKY looks funny while checking the note😭
Last game was the only game where he did something good. Other than that guy just comes and goes like it's some park to chill.
Are we not learning from our mistakes or the management still gonna hold onto the dumbass ego and make things more worse. I can't even think about how it'll be if it gets more complicated than what we have right now.
He has been the backbone of our batting for so long that the one bad season he's having now is troubling the whole team. It's so hard to watch SKY struggle even with his favourite shots. Hope he regains his form for the remaining matches🤞💙
This is not to glorify Rohit and his captaincy. I just wanted to say that we have a bowling line-up more powerful than this now but it isn't used well. I mean at least get your match ups right yaar. Ghazanfar is our main wicket taking bowler and why would you keep him till the death. When the wickets fell at the top order weren't we supposed to keep pressuring them and at least make them play dot balls. We were not rotating strikes as often as we should towards the death but was giving CSK free singles. Get your horses together guys, we may have not found the right formula yet this season but show some intent and spirit. Tbh it feels like everyone is dead from inside halfway through the game.
Either hit or at least rotate the strike. Denies single and swings or defends the whole over. Dude just played around 4 overs and took 18 runs. Why did you even choose batting in the first place if you were not planning to take a bare minimum score.
Jamieson was handed 1 demerit point yesterday for the incident involving Vaibhav but I have seen several other players doing what is stated in this article but wasn't charged guilty. Is it a team based fine or a player based fine at this point 🤷♂️
Won't even ball and is not a specialist batsman, what is he !? He seems good in tests but other than that he hasn't done anything in white ball right? He doesn't even perform in IPL but somehow finds his way into even the T20i squad. GT even plays him before the main middle order batters. Fielding is below par as well. Just a guy who's in the XI for fun I guess
I can't leave this team behind because it's not just an emotion.Yeah the management took dumb decisions and messed up everything but what these guys built over all those years can't be left in vain. Haters can say whatever they want. We went the first 5 years without any title and then won 5 titles within the span of 8 years. So we aren't finished, it's just a bad phase and yeah we'll definitely bounce back and will rule the kingdom once again!!🧿💙
If Hardik was the mastermind captain of GT which took them to 2 back to back finals he could've done that easily with this MI team so it wasn't not fully him. If it was all Nehra who did the job then Gill could've easily followed that. That too is a failure as we could see. Then comes Mahela who would give some strategies written down on a paper to Hardik who without any 2nd thought just follows what's on that paper. I mean how could a captain not have his head in the game fully if he can't analyze and make changes according to the match situations.
So the thing is Hardik can't do anything of his own in captaincy and take bold decisions and Mahela can't do anything tactically as a coach which has led us to this huge downfall we never even thought of.
If you ain't gonna use him, why even worry about getting him on the field 🙏🏻😭
What in the seven hells is going on?? What was even the point of taking an impact sub if you ain't gonna use him. If it felt like he'll get thrashed by the opposition batters who in the right mind chose him to be the impact then. At this point what are we even trying to prove. There's nothing going right at all at the moment. 3 of our batters hit century this season and 2 of them went in vain. If not for GT's flop middle order we would have lost that match too it seems. We never gained momentum from that match. If we did we wouldn't have crumbled like that against CSK. I know some might say "it's just a game, leave it" but as a guy who has been following the team from the start of its journey, it is so hard to watch a miserable downfall like this. It's hard to believe we were defending champions once, bullied our opponents in both home and away matches, didn't even allow anyone to chase above 200 let alone we freaking defended 150 scores like a piece of cake. All we could hope for now is somehow not to finish at the bottom of the table and do a makeover like PBKS did, if we want to keep the legacy we built through hardship after all these years.
He surely seems out of shape and needs to be rested. He's a world class bowler, everyone knows that but he too need some rest at some point. He's been our X-factor for so many years and when he seems a bit off of his game it's the duty of the management to cut him some slack and atleast give him a two match off. That's the least you could do for my Goat.
