I have two network adapters on my desktop. One is an intel wifi adapter that is part of my motherboard. The other is a realtek USB wifi adapter. The realtek USB adapter is much faster but loses connection often, while the intel MOBO adapter is slower but has less disconnections.

Tried switching modes. Tried switching bands. Tried those on both adapters while the other was disabled. Both adapters have "power saving" turned off. Tried switching USB ports on the realtek USB adapter. So far nothing has changed anything. There's no interference from other devices.

My laptop (separate device) works perfectly fine from the same location, with normal speeds and no disconnections.

Should I just get a new wifi adapter or is there something else I can do?
