Beating a Dyed horse continued - Ben was ripping of Tim Dillion
I can't take credit for this thought as I have seen a few other comments making the same connection, but Ben really tried to embody Tim Dillion in his face to face interaction with mr. Dye. His sarcastic "We are all worried about you", "I am coming from a place of love". and "Thats not very Christian of you" all could have come directly from TD dressing down Ben himself.
Instead of it coming from a sassy gay man, who knows he's better than you and only deserves the best in life, it came from a depressed asocial too-online outcast. It had none of the charm or charisma that TD is able to pull off. Being insulted and looked down on by your rich successful aunt who has an innate ability to hit you exactly where you are most insecure in a socially acceptable way, hurts a lot more than those same insults being abrasively shouted at you from your low iq cousin who flunked out of community college and is driving delivery for pizza hut.
