Im developing a crush on a guy that I dont know is Gay and idk how to go about it...

So I recently developed a crush on a guy that works in a similar work environment to me, but he isn't my direct boss per se. I see him but sometimes I dont know if im reading signals because I want to or if it's really what he's doing. Sometimes while working he'd ignore me and stuff. And when id clock out outside of my work uniform thats when he'd "start" to nice me. The very first time I seen him I thought he was really handsome. He looked at me then did a double take and we looked at each other. He has nice muscles , looks pretty masc but you just never know.

I might just be reading too much into it. What do you guys think?

Why are a few BGC girls posting about BGC all of a sudden?

First Andrea(BGC9) posted a lil bit ago today and she hasn’t posted about the show in a whilee.

Also Stephanie(BGC10) posted yesterday and how she’s gonna do a series documenting her reality tv experience on BGC and how it changed her.

This isn’t a lot of people but it got me thinking what’s going on? Maybe I’m just having BGC withdrawals thinking something’s up? 🤔😅.

This city gets a lot of rep for being the “friendliest”/nicest out of the larger American cities but I’m not too sure how realistic that is.

As someone that grew up in Chicago and has now been about 5 months in NYC, I believe, personally, that New Yorkers are nicer than Chicagoans are. Or atleast in a manner that does not seem “forced”.. People in Chicago can be very nice don’t mistake me. But a lot of the times it has that Midwestern veneer to it that just feels like it isn’t genuine at all. I realized I kind of had this “trait” too while I was living in NYC, and sometimes people would call me out on it. I feel it stems from a social pressure in Chicago to keep the peace, in NYC it’s much more normal to express yourself in whatever shape or form and that includes contempt. It’s also not looked at highly to be “emotional” in Chicago either. Being lowkey is a lot more “respectable”. Especially being a Black man.

New Yorkers are also more likely to talk to strangers than in Chicago too. And are also more gregarious/outgoing from what I’ve seen. When it comes to Chicago, people are more cordially nice, but I wouldn’t necessarily say we are friendly. I find we are less open to strangers and we “mind our business” more. New Yorkers don’t mind getting their opinion out there, and they’ll say something to you in public if they feel like it.

Generally, I find that New Yorkers get a bad rep and majority of the time the stereotype does not match the reality at all. That goes for both cities by the way…

At the skyscrapers lining 5th avenue and beyond?

The fact we have the only 24/7 public transit in the country

We get to live on the coast man -idgaf NYC is THE ultimate coastal city

And the Csntral Park Zoo(and also Brooklyn Bronx Queens…)

So many amazing neighborhoods that get so much attention here

But also ones that don’t - like Jackson Heights . Beautiful gem of a neighborhood. Lhasa Fast Food? Fantastico. Arepa Lady? Amazing.

As I walked through Travers park a few days ago - I couldn’t help but marvel at what a cultural landmark that neighborhood is

But also areas that even local consider scary like East New York - try Cousins Bakery fr or Liberty Pizza that shit is GAS

Bey Stuy is legit too

Brooklyn Heights hella beautiful

Bushwick, Williamsburg, Greenpoint dope too I will give them their flowers

Astoria AMAZING

The West Village bursting from the seams with restaurants

Like damn this really is one of the most economically and logistically important cities in the world and we get to live in it

And it’s like … kinda impossible to afford but it’s worth it?

Sorry y’all I’m zooted and it’s making me really emotional about New York. I’m never leaving this place man 💯
