To defer or not to defer?
Probably going to give way too many details in this but I have about 3 days to make my decision and I’m totally torn.
I got into my top choice T14 during this cycle, but I also got into my top choice masters program at the university of Cambridge. Prestige aside, the masters program is in a subject I truly love, I am excited about the college I got into, and I think it could be a really wonderful year. My parents are so excited and they said they will pay for it. Is it worth it to defer for a non-law related (humanities) degree? I feel some anxiety about deferring since I applied KJD and am afraid I will regret not going after putting in all this work to get into law school straight after undergrad.
I’m really excited about law school and part of me can’t wait to start; the other feels like I might be missing an opportunity if I don’t defer. I want to go into big law litigation after law school, so this sort of feels like my only shot to do this.
