Long timer lurker on this sub, but here it goes.. will probably delete it later..
I'm a 38 year old male dating a 51 year old woman for the last few weeks. She is literally amazing. She is brilliant, beautiful, funny and kind. The list kinda goes on and on. While I've never really bought into the "she's out of your league" kinda stuff, if it were a true thing, she definitely would be lightyears out of my league lol. I've never dated anyone this much older than me, so I'm looking for general advice from older women or folks who have dated with an age gap like this. Anything anyone has in mind that you think would help me connect, or that I should consider, please do tell. Be brutally honest if you want.
The age gap doesn't bother me at all. We are both mature and have comfortable and established separate lives. What I'm worried about is keeping her entertained as we continue to date. I don't think she's into the type of typical going out for dinner or drinks kind of dates. I've never been the best date planner, so I'm wondering how can I improve that too?
She's busy and she has kids, but it's been surprisingly easy to connect around her other responsibilities. How the heck do I charm a woman like this? Lol. Im being available and open about myself, and so far, everything has been so good. Our chemistry is amazing, but she's so different in the most wonderful ways compared to the 30-40 year olds I've dated the last couple of years. What do you do for a woman who has everything? What do 50 year old women want?
I'm definitely overthinking it all, which I think is causing me to psych myself out, but this woman is literally like no other woman I've ever dated. I want to give it my best shot as I'm starting to be able to see something long-term with her.
