Confused about data science in Nepal after NEB boards, need some guidance
I just gave my NEB boards (science stream) and I'm seriously thinking about doing data science for my bachelor's. But honestly I have no idea where to start so hoping someone here can help.
First thing is the university choice. I know TU offers a data science program and apparently 2 other universities do too. Are they actually different in terms of quality and curriculum or is it basically the same thing everywhere? Which one would you recommend and why?
Second is about getting a seat. How competitive is it really? Like how many students are fighting for how many seats, both in TU and the private universities? And what do I need to study or prepare for the entrance exam?
And the last thing is about the job market. My plan is not to stay in Nepal long term, I want to work abroad eventually. Does it even matter where you study in Nepal when you're applying internationally, or do employers mostly look at your skills and portfolio anyway?
Any advice from people who've been through this or are currently in the field would really help. Thanks.
