My partner and I (mid–late 20s) have a 4-month-old and are really feeling the urge to get out of Melbourne. Even before having a baby, we always talked about wanting to raise a family by the beach, and now we’re seriously considering making the move.
We’ve been looking into Ocean Grove and would love to hear from anyone who’s lived there, especially other young families. How did you find the transition from Melbourne? What’s the lifestyle like day-to-day?
Our plan would be to rent first to see how we settle in, then look at buying if it feels right (There also seems to be a fair few rentals available in Clifton Springs - thoughts?)
My partner drives a company truck and would still be commuting around Melbourne for work (petrol is covered), so that flexibility helps.
