M33 F41 been married 11 years now. First 7 years were rough, not gonna lie we fought a lot and sex was basically nothing most of the time. Just a lot of tension and bad patterns. Coming home to a nasty home, me not listening to her. We went through a lot honestly probably most of the stuff people say will end a marriage: cheating, parents getting involved, arguing over money, etc.

Around year 7 something started to change. We talked more even though it still came with arguments and uncomfortable conversations. Over time we just decided we needed to be friends again for real. That part changed everything, just admitting we weren’t friends but roommates.

By the grace of God and a lot of work we made it through all that. And recently we had one of those random moments in the middle of the day while the kids were up front playing with blocks and games. First time thats ever happened in our marriage. It might sound small but for us that was a big deal.

Just wanted to post something positive on here for once since its usually all heavy stuff. Things really can turn around.
