Pretty much expected this as my grandmother was half Spanish. But how the heck did I get Eastern European and Indigenous American?

Hi! My parents are visiting end of May and I was wondering if you have any suggestions for restaurants that are polished but not uptight. Not necessarily Michelin level but just a bit more than midrange chains, so no Earl’s/Joey/The Keg/STK etc. They’re staying near the CN Tower so ideally just around the downtown core or a quick Uber ride.

Cuisines: modern western and Asian only. They don’t like spicy food.

Some examples from NYC that have this vibe: Minetta Tavern, Balthazar, Raoul’s, Sadelle’s, Celestine, 4 Charles, Carmine UWS. Great interiors and energy with good food.

Already thinking of taking them to Aloette, Byblos, Lee and Epoch for the patio. Although these ones have more modern interiors. Looking for something a little more classic as well.

Thank you!
