Clarify on how this card works (Delirium)

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to make sure I am understanding how this card works. For “that creature deals to the player an amount of damage equal to its power.”, is the player in this instance the controller of the creature, or the caster of Delirium?

A Question For Local Magic Players

Anybody got a copy of The Infamous Cruelclaw they’re happy to part with? None of the local card shops seem to have it and I’m trying to get that bad boy in my deck pronto.
