Ranking Every Team's 2026 Draft Class by Weight

This popped into my head during the draft, when I saw my fellow Vikings fans talking about how physically large our draft class was. Now on a bored Sunday it popped into my head again, so I looked up the weights of all 257 selections and ranked each team by their Pounds-Per-Pick (PPP). Weights come from Pro Football Reference, and when available there I used their combine weigh-ins (which caused some discrepancies between their "listed" weights and combine weights, but it was usually around the same).

So here it is.

All 32 draft classes ranked by pure, unprocessed beef.

Team PPP
Chargers 274.6
Giants 267.7
Eagles 263.5
Titans 259.9
Texans 259.5
Bengals 258.9
Rams 258.4
Vikings 256.8
49ers 253.7
Cardinals 253.4
Broncos 252.7
Panthers 252.6
Buccaneers 252.4
Lions 251
Patriots 248.2
Browns 246.8
Jaguars 246.1
Falcons 244.2
Steelers 243.7
Packers 242
Jets 241.9
Bills 241.6
Bears 240
Dolphins 238.5
Cowboys 238.4
Colts 237.5
Ravens 237.4
Commanders 236
Saints 233.1
Raiders 228.1
Seahawks 227.5
Chiefs 214.3

So what did we learn? Not a ton, really.

Most teams hovered around the average of 246.9 PPP, without much variation on either side.

The teams that DID vary are the most interesting.

The Chargers, Giant and Eagles are the most beefy, with the Chargers coming a whole 7 PPP over 2nd place, and a whopping 60 PPP over the lightest draft class in the Chiefs.

Speaking of the Chiefs, they're the only team to not select a single player over 300 pounds (Peter Woods weighed in at 298 at the combine).

As for my Vikings, who started this whole thing, at the 8th most beefy, it IS on the heavier side, but nowhere near an outlier.

So that's it. Its a list of weights, what do want from me?
