My fan clutch on my 2018 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins is sticking (fan runs with engine RPM). Shop quoted $1100 OEM replacement and 1 hour of labor at $160 with an additional hour of diagnostics, total $1420 plus tax.

Bought the part new on eBay for $180!

I don’t mind paying the labor but I think it was pretty dishonest with the part quote.

My question is how difficult of a job is this for a novice guy to replace with some YouTube university?
