I'm curious as to if anyone would continue reading. Chapter 1 [Noir, Medieval Dark Fantasy. 1618 words]

Here is chapter 1 of my debut novel. Still a rough draft imo, but I'm interested on reception from strangers. They say don't write your most important story first, but man have I come to love this one alot
Currently at 60K-ish words after just over three months of writing. 500 word hard minimum a night has kept me faithful and most nights I shatter that my hundreds.
(Super nauseous posting this, but I'm too curious to chicken out now.)
