Last year December I was here ranting about how a man I’d been dating ruined my Christmas by making me cater to him, while my entire plan for the week was to just be a bum.
I had sworn I’d stay away from that gender because I seem to be dating the same man in a different font, so I wanted to do some introspection and possibly therapy when I afford it. That was kinda short lived because I hadn’t even processed the entire breakup vizuri I met someone.
He looked and sounded like the perfect man on paper but my spidey senses have just been off and I was right. He’s handsome btw, financially stable, well travelled and generally doing well for himself. Those first few weeks of the talking stage were a dream Yani I felt like I have a new chance at life again.
Lately I haven’t been on social media much but we speak on WhatsApp so he posted “Going to Apply at JP Morgan iykyk”!! Let me catch you up, a woman who works there was “accused” of raping a man, and Google reports a hike in the website visits for job applications. Basically, they’re hoping to get in and get “raped”. My heart has sunk because I literally just saw that on Twitter and remembered he posted that shit!!
These are the same people who dandia our femicide protests with “even women rape men” yet here they are literally asking for it!! I’m so sad, and quite frankly angry. He knows my stand on these gender wars and he still felt comfortable posting that! I guess he was testing the waters because it didn’t click then. I’ll be distancing myself but now I fully understand why he’s single at his age. And a lot of his rants make sense. No woman would want to be tied to him forever.
Be careful with those little snide comments and jokes they try to pass on. They’re literally negging you to see how much they can get away with because that manosphere bullshit literally teaches them to. A grown ass man past 35 literally lets a loser tell them how to act!! Man I hate it here!
