Kind of freaking out here. Just received my benefits letter. While I was surprised by what my payment was, I was shocked when I saw my past benefits section. While my onset date was correct (Feb '24), the backpay section benefits says that I'm only getting paid from Dec.' 25 on. I applied in Feb.'25. Am I missing something?

So I had my alj case held on March 20TH. Fully favorable decision was given on April 13th. Appeals council pulled for quality review on the 14th. I called on the May 1st when I saw on the portal that the council has made their decision. I was told that the council agreed with the judge and everything was good to go and it looked like they were going to start to work on the financial part.

Yesterday, I called to see how to get a SS card for my son and if course I had to ask if there was any movement on the financial side of the case. I was told by the rep that she couldn't find any notes on the Appeals council's decision and she would have to reach out to my specific rep and see what was going on.

I'm kind of going a bit nutty from this process. It's been about 800 days since initial application and I just want to put my brain to rest. Should I call back and play the customer service roulette game or wait a bit longer?

Any advice is appreciated.

"Appeals Council completed its review of the Administrative Law Judge’s (ALJ) decision on May 1, 2026."

What kind of update is this?!? I know what it means, but no info on the decision? Currently on hold with my local to find out what the decision was.

Question for everybody and pardon my stupidity if I am wrong in my thought process... If you work over the $1210 and trigger your trial period, but never work enough to go over SGA, what happens after the nine months?
