Christspiracy Documentary

I'm curious since a lot of people in the world follow a religion, why I am only hearing about this now???

I don't follow a religion, but the gist of the movie is that it is PROVEN that Jesus was protesting the killing of animals before being crucified. He told people that BREAD is his flesh and WINE is his blood because he didn't eat meat and was spreading the message that we are supposed to live in harmony with animals. They found that all religions actually do.. so WTF??

If anyone here is familiar with the Bible, they say it happened in the "Den of thieves" which was a temple/ massive slaughterhouse. But the real translation of the Hebrew word is "violent one"

They also know that Jesus' brother James was vegetarian and so was Jesus. "How would Jesus kill an animal?" He didn't. He protested it.

Jobs as a vegan.

I recently went vegan but I have worked as a server in a restaurant for the last 10 years... We have a couple of vegan options on the menu now but I can't just tell people not to order the meat dishes...

I make really good tips and I try to donate some of it back into animal welfare or rescue groups.

I also took this job because it is basically part time hours with a full time wage (with tips) so I have time in the day to hike my dog for over an hour and do things around the house.

I feel weird working in this industry now and serving people animals to eat..but I also need to make money.

I graduated from high school and took about 1.5 years of uni classes after but was never driven for any specific career so I didn't complete any degree.

Not only that, but where I live, there is a major demand to live here and competition for jobs after school with many people needing to move away for opportunities which I am not willing to do. I have family and own a home here. The vegan community is pretty decent here as well.

Just ranting but curious what you guys do for work?

Oppose the house farm bill/save our bacon act (US residents)

Here is the link to add your name to reject the house farm bill/oppose the save our bacon act.

https://aldf.org/article/tell-congress-oppose-the-house-farm-bill/?fbclid=IwdGRjcARtnGpjbGNrBG2W\_WV4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkDDM1MDY4NTUzMTcyOAABHhJqzLb62HkFB8TeJBoT2QGhYaiCe65cip2x8JAajDoaYsZmsKnJR-N5tFwd\_aem\_TXT2gX0SdH0QBQwmID6Iqw

Unfortunately, the House-passed legislation contains multiple provisions that endanger animals, undermine states’ rights, and threaten public health, including overturning California’s Proposition 12 and similar state measures enacted to protect animals from extreme confinement. This sweeping preemption could jeopardize years of hard-won state-level protections for farmed animals and undermine protections for other animals as well. If enacted, the bill would also allow federal funds to support mink fur farming.

Use the form below to contact your senators and urge them to oppose this harmful bill.

Please search on YouTube for Joey Carbstrong.

He has released a non graphic documentary (30 minutes) and also an extremely graphic video (14 ish mins) exposing the barbaric cruelty inside a UK slaughterhouse. They were secretly conducting kosher killing (no pre stun to halal killing) and not only is it illegal how they treat the livestock, but they are selling a lie to the consumer.

I could not bear to watch the graphic one as the non graphic is already hard to watch.

Please like, share far and wide to hold these monsters accountable.

Disclaimer: I am not singling out any religious groups. My only concern is animal welfare and illegal animal cruelty.

I'm guessing I can't share the YouTube video on this post. However, I wanted to share a documentary that is gaining attention in online animal welfare communities from the UK. A person that goes by the name Joey Carbstrong uncovered basically a secret slaughterhouse that has very shady and illegal practices. He goes over in the documentary on why this is not typical halal treatment and how cruel and unethical this operation is.

Though I'm sure most of us in this group are vegetarian, I wanted to mention that I personally believe that people can eat meat and still demand ethical treatment of animals. There are local farmers that do a good job raising their livestock and there are humane laws in place such as mandatory stunning, which to me is the least they deserve.

Please go to the video on YouTube and hit like even if you can't stomach watching the video. There is a non graphic version that is still somewhat hard to watch. The more attention stuff like this gets, the more accountability there is, and we can have stricter laws in place for how animals are treated.
