Hi,

I'm starting a phd in my early 30s at Umass and I'm worried i wont like the area. I live outside boston right now and there is always something to do! I know ill be busy with school but besides "nature" what events are there? Im also worried about dating. Im single cis straight. Growing up in NH the scene was abysmal. Im hoping with grad school there will be some men in my age who are straight/liberal? But ive heard not great things.

Please no negative vibes I have committed to this move for my career but Im worried to feel lonely!
