27F. I’m a conventionally attractive woman who gets hit on relatively often and find a lot of men overtly flirt with me.

The problem is, they don’t know my “secret”. I contracted genital HSV1 in March of 2024 and would genuinely rather off myself than disclose. Therefore, I reject absolutely every man who shows interest.

The constant rejection posts on here and the way society as a whole views herpes is the nail in the coffin that I’ll be single for the rest of my life.

Dating is horrible enough as is… add an incurable STI on top of that and it’s impossible.

Two years later and it hasn’t gotten better. I can’t see myself moving past this and am accepting that I’ll never experience physical touch again.

Jules: “Are you still a virgin?”

Lexi: “Better than having herpes”

Wonderful. A show with tens of millions of viewers to deepen the stigma even more…

I’ve had sex with 15 men, kissed at least 20 others over the course of my life, and have dozens of female friends I regularly spend time with.

0 people have ever disclosed even mentioned having herpes.

I find it impossible to believe that “70%” of the population is positive.

It feels like I’m the only person on earth who not only has this diagnosis, but actually says something. Not only that, but the vast majority who I share with seem shocked or confused… like they’ve never encountered it before.

There’s absolutely no way it’s nearly as prevalent as medical professionals pretend it is.

I was diagnosed in March of 2024 and still can’t bring myself to date.

I reject every single man who asks me out before inevitably being rejected for having an incurable STD.

Any advice on how to have a fulfilling life even without intimacy?

I can never see myself dating or touching another man again, so I want to make peace with my future.
