I use to know a guy that would go to other countries and buy various things like extremely high end jewelry, watches, bags, stuff like that for wealthy customers. Then he would wear those items back. My understanding is that this was to get around import fees on various luxury goods. He explained it as a kind of legally gray area. As far as it sounded, it's frowned upon, and if you were to get caught, you'd likely have the items confiscated. But you wouldn't face any real consequences.

What I'm curious about is how would one get into this line of work in the first place? What is this job even called? Or is there anything similar that's relatively easy to get into?

I get paid Friday. I just don't have any food on hand. I can show money deposits related to my checks, but I don't have my check stubs with me. Anything can help, if 40 is too high if a risk, we can talk and pre arrange something smaller.
