For the past almost two months i’ve been taking Yaz birth control pills to help with my cheek, jaw, and chin pimples. The breakouts started out of no where about 7 months ago. At that time I wasn’t taking hormonal birth control, I only had a copper IUD. I’ve been on the copper IUD for two years now and didn’t experience any crazy breakouts or anything like that. An occasional pimple here or there would s come up around the time of my period but sother than that I had pretty clear skin. I told my doctor about my concerns surrounding my pimples and he prescribed me Yaz. I’ve been taking it for almost two packets now and I am still getting a pimple here and there on my cheek, jaw, and chin area. I’ve been trying to eat gluten free and well and lower my amount of sugar consumed as well with dairy to see if those are the culprits to my skin but so far I can’t tell yet. Did your skin clear up after the 3 month mark? That’s at least what I’ve been reading from other people that have been taking yaz that after three months is when their skin cleared up but I’m about to start my third pack and I’m worried it’s not effective enough. I’ve noticed a slight change but not enough. I have also considered quitting vaping. I quit more than a year ago and my skin was extremely clear. But I did start vaping again almost about 6 months ago…. When I was vaping years ago I would get a tiny cluster of pimples from time to time. So I’m unsure really where to go with my skin care. I’d also like to note that since starting Yaz, my period has been extremely irregular. I got it for 22 days with the first packet and with my second packet now, as i’m almost finished with it, I’ve been on my period now for 16 days. Hopefully it’s my hormones adjusting…..

for the past couple of months ive been dealing with random breakouts on my cheeks, jawline, chin, and i don’t know exactly what’s causing it. I tried eating healthier, cutting out sugar, and reducing the amount of dairy i eat. I don’t know if there was any change there honestly. I have a copper iud and recently switched to bc pills for my breakouts. I had a pimple pop up on my cheek but this past weekend i noticed this bump on the side of my face and im not sure if its a normal pimple or a cyst growing. I’ve never had a cyst before in my life. I was resting my face on my arm so i’m thinking that’s where i got this from but not too sure. Unfortunately I still am taking both birth controls, one is non hormonal and the other is. My skincare has stayed exactly the same it has for the past 3+ years. I change my pillow cases each week, I try not to put my phone to my face or touch my face. I was taking hair, skin, and nail vitamins with collagen which stopped the random chin breakouts but now I don’t know where to go. I will note that I do smoke nicotine(vape) I quit for a few months last year and my skin did look better but i barely got breakouts even then when I was vaping.
My skincare routine:
AM: la roche pousay facial foaming wash for oily skin cetaphil daily facial moisturizer with 35 spf
I will use the Garnier micellar cleansing water with hylauronic acid + aloe to remove my makeup at the end of the day.
PM: La roche pousay facial foaming wash for oily skin Moisturizer: nivea cream( the blue tin)
My skincare is very very minimal, I’ve never had such trouble with pimples and breakouts but I’m at my wits end here. I have noted that I did eat an excessive amount of dairy these past two weeks but i’m not sure if that’s the culprit.
