Has anyone run into this issue when trying to order from Amazon Japan (US-based customer)?

I keep getting an error saying my card can’t be verified (“Your card could not be verified. Ensure card details are correct”), even though my bank has international purchases enabled.

I also tried contacting support, but:

• Chat says “We hit a snag with chat”
• The callback service doesn’t work either
• I also emailed support but haven’t heard back yet

This is my first time ordering from Amazon Japan, so I’m not sure if this is a common issue or if there’s a fix.

Has anyone dealt with this before or know what might be causing it?

I’m trying to understand how fare evasion actually gets enforced in the subway.

Like, I’ve seen people hop turnstiles or go through the emergency gate or walk into the bus without a OMNY card without funds

Who’s actually catching people most of the time? Is it cops watching, undercover people, or station workers reporting it? NYCT?

Also, is it more about bad luck (being in the wrong place at the wrong time), or are there certain stations/areas where it’s way more enforced?

Not trying to do anything stupid, just curious how it works in real life vs what people say online.
