Hello!
At my job, I need to connect Cognex Dataman 290 barcode scanners to tablets over USB-C.
The tablets are Samsung Android.
I had tested this setup using my HP laptop and it worked fine with any USB-C to C cable I tried, but the tablets will not accept input from the barcode scanners. The charging cables that came with them were missing pins, but they worked on my laptop. The tablets also complained of reduced charging speed.
The only setup that has worked on every device has been Cognex brand C to A cables with A to C adapters. The adapter doesn’t matter, we had 3 brands lying around. These cables had every pin populated in the Type-C connector.
Any ideas what this means, and how can I identify a cable that will work?
