I’m looking to start saving for a laptop to run simple games but not sure what I’m even looking for. I play mostly Xbox and only want it for certain games so I don’t wanna invest a ton of money straight into a true PC setup. I mostly want to play rogue-likes/lites with certain exceptions. Any suggestions?

Budget: $800 but I’d much prefer closer to $500

Use Case: Simple gaming. The Hunter Classic, Project Zomboid, Slay the Spire, Risk of Rain

just got my new controller and had plugged it in and downloaded the app(xbox). went to map out some buttons and save it and the app glitched. now it wont let the controller be used at all. it wont turn on. ive tried the usb-c that came with it plus others and in all ports that i can on the xbox. im starting to feel like this controller will not work. ive hard reset console and everything. any help?
