Before I fully begin to practice and read gnosticism, to which I've been researching more and more to see if it really feels to be something I would like to commit to, ive been wondering about what gnostics actually do.

I understand prayer and meditation is a key process, same with reading scripture. I'm just curious that as my introduction was of a broad one to spirituality as a whole, do gnostics astral project? Via psychedelics or via focused methods like before sleep or meditation, do they practice and record their cosmological maps like hermetics and navigate the tree of life like certain kabbalhists?

My friend (a roscrucian affiliate and satanist, she also reads my tarot sometimes) recommended I look into the corpus hermeticum and the golden dawn, and I've been looking at some of the magick she's shown me like a lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram. How much intersectionality is okay before it becomes a vague flanderisation of what i'm supposed to do?

It's not that I want to avoid it because i understand knowledge/knowing is a key part of this belief and it's practices, it's just i'm a little stumped. Many thanks to anyone providing advice, I'm willing to take this belief on as a means of self betterment. A good majority of my life I've felt quite guilty for being alive and over numerous small mistakes to the point I feel a debt to the planet I walk on, anything good for my mind and soul is something I can't refuse.
