Hype Me Up ??

Literally no shame, seeking feedback!

I am having a courthouse wedding and then a big reception 2 months later. I LOVE my reception gown, not even gonna spoil it here! It fits the vibe of this dress but it is somehow 10x more formal, whimsical and still elegant?!

That being said, my beautiful (and affordable-ish) Selkie Bridal gown arrived today and I put it on, literally cried, swooned over myself etc. Looking back at the pictures, I suddenly feel like I look bigger than usual (I typically feel this way in white). I worry it looks like my boobs are spilling out, or is it a sexy amount of cleavage?? The dress is exactly what I payed for, could use a steaming but I am totally happy with it. But is it flattering for someone built like myself? I am a top-heavy girl who likes a big skirt and ruffles, lace, whimsy, etc. I also don't have the most hope to find a new one as I was VERY picky the first time around, this is the ONLY dress I've loved.

I am torn! Is this MY dress for a courthouse wedding? Is feeling this way a red flag? Did any of you have this feeling after buying a dress? Will I like it better with a steaming and a veil? Genuinely please answer these questions if you have an opinion!!

TIA as well for any advice (ie: shorten it, change the sleeves, etc) or constructive criticism!

FWIW This is the Selkie Bridal Ivory Cupid Dress is a size XL (I'm 5'3, 170). I purchased it on pre-order for $323 and shipping.

Editing to add: I think it's a clear no-go.

That being said, I think very few of you are into my aesthetic😭🫣.

The wedding ceremony will be very private, just me, him, and 1 witness each. We are taking some 1800s sepia style photos (It's a very unique theme maybe!).

The plan was to wear short lace-up brown boots.

I had no help to get into the dress but it definitely could close in the back, the skirt/ zipper area initially made me worry it was too big. I know my chest is large. Loved the idea of using a wide ribbon instead. I would describe the vibe as witchy-meets-fairy but vintage?

I feel like I look like a circus clown and would love more dress recommendations.

I wear a size XL/1X/16

ISO long lost siblings (Any Phelps' here?)

No pictures, unfortunately.

My mother had a child as a teenager by a much older man by the name of Michael Phelps (not that one, duh). He was never involved in the life of the child (my big brother) beyond rare appearances in the first year of his life. This all occurred in North Portland/ St.Johns. My mother was 17-18 at the time (2002-2003).

This man passed away some time in the late 2000s or early 2010s so there is certainly no way to contact him, my entire family lived out of state from 2008-2013 and my parents never informed us that my eldest brother had a different father than the rest of us (Michael) until he was almost an adult. What I do know is this man had other children and we are wondering if anyone with a father by that name might want to connect as siblings!

Rumor also has it he was heavily involved in doing (if not dealing) drugs and unfortunately information about him is very sparse and difficult to come by. My parents are uninterested in answering questions about the situation.

My brother has not done DNA testing yet as we figured we'd try this first since we are local.

Edit to add: upvoting for exposure is so greatly appreciated.

TIA
