35M Busy gym dad likes to chat between errands.

Being busy is isolating, so sometimes I like to make quick friends with people online to feel a bit of connection. I'm a simple guy, here's some of my primary interests;

Music! - I play it, I write it, I listen to it, I like to take my guitar out to play for people as much as possible. I'm a gigging musician (on top of my much lamer day job). Talk music at me. I even posted a new song just yesterday for your waiting ears.

Lifting - I lost a lot of weight a couple years ago and got really into the gym. If big arms don't solve your problems, are they even worth solving?

Pokémon - I've always loved it and have never let it go. Guess my favorite mon! it's a great icebreaker.

DC Comics - I might have cried during Superman. Talk nerdy to me.

DnD - I used to DM when I had more time. Roll persuasion to get in these DMs.

If any of this makes me sound like someone you wanna talk to, come say hi!

P.S. I know things are tough out there for my trans and NB friends and neighbors. Rest assured that if that includes you, I am a safe person to talk to.

Y'all had some very helpful insight when I posted the acoustic version of this, so here is the current draft of "Let It Crumble." With usual caveat that I'm not really a singer.

It takes a lot to make a world

Six days of hard labor plus a rib to make a girl

God built man a garden and then he set him free

He only asked him not to touch the fruit of one damn tree

But man's so weak that if he know there's something he can't touch

It eats that man alive it makes him want that thing so much

He can blame the woman, blame the snake or blame the fruit

Bend over backwards not to see he's at the root

God said I built paradise to give this man a home

But let it crumble if it can't stand on its own

It takes a lot to build a house

The labor of your body and the patience of your spouse

A strong and smooth foundation just to hold the thing in place

Wood and brick and shingles so the rain won't splash your face

Then you maintain and fix it one disaster at a time

You keep the water out the basement with the soil's small incline

You keep an eye for cracks lest what you built will slip away

You give the yard attention when you're home each Saturday

It's just frame it doesn't know when it's become a home

It will crumble if it can't stand on its own

It takes a lot to build up trust

Communication time and lots of patience is a must

For some it might take years for it to settle into place

But in just a moment it can fade without a trace

'Cause man's so weak that if he knows there's something he can't touch

It eats that man alive it makes him want that thing so much

He'll blame two women long before he takes a look inside

But once he's flushed his life away there's nowhere he can hide

She said I wasted years with you to try and build a home

Let it crumble if it can't stand on its own
