Going to the mall or visiting a local tech store after school just to duke it out over one of these with random like-minded strangers.

i'm about to turn 40 and i feel like i ain't got time to watch TV anymore but i am still interested in the stories
I’m not saying it’s bad, but people act like it’s some untouchable god-tier food when a huge part of the hype is just exclusivity, luxury marketing, and the fact that it’s expensive as hell. A lot of them don’t even seem to love it because it supposedly tastes better, they love it because it’s Kobe, like the name itself is doing half the work.
Honestly, the whole ultra-marbled thing isn’t automatically “better” either. At a certain point it’s just insanely rich and fatty and not even that satisfying as an actual steak. It’s more like a few bites kind of thing than something I’d actually want to sit down and eat a full portion of.
If most people blind tasted Kobe against other high-end wagyu or even a really good dry-aged prime ribeye, I honestly think a lot of the people worshipping Kobe wouldn’t even pick it, or at least not by the huge margin they pretend they would.
So yeah, I don’t think Kobe is overrated as a product. I think it’s overrated as a cultural icon. People are obsessed with what it represents more than what it actually is.
