Safety Alert
So my store is the first in our market to be using AI in our cameras to detect potential safety issues.
Essentially, TA’s will be alerted about potential issues in their area. So basically sporting goods associates aren’t tasks with items that are in grocery. If these alerts aren’t taken care of, they’re escalated to TLs, Coaches, then it’ll continue to climb until resolved.
As a lead, I’ve been tasked with taking so many pictures of shadows, trash cans under registers, customers shopping bags, and dogs. A few times there has been an actual item of trash on the floor.
If you do get the alert, all you have to do is take a picture of the area AS YOU FOUND IT. If there’s nothing there, there’s an option to say that and take a picture of nothing. If there’s still something there, you have to take a picture of the mess before you clean it up.
We’re basically training the AI to better defend these potential issues. If you have any questions, I’ll try my best to answer them with the knowledge I have.
