Is this a valid argument?

During my interview i was told by the store manager that when i start I’ll get a work phone. Here comes orientation, our people lead tells me and everyone else in orientation that on our first official day she will have all our work phones ready for us. Three months later, still no work phones ready. I’ve asked on numerous occasions regarding the work phone and her response every time is “Well there’s other people who started before you that need a work phone”…

I’m going to print this out and leave it on her desk to read whenever she comes in again, is this a legit and valid argument?

I wanted to bring up a concern regarding the use of my personal phone for work-related tasks.

Since starting my position, I have been using my personal device for picking inventory, locating products, and other job functions. When I began, my phone’s battery health was at 100%. Over the past three months, it has dropped to 93%, which I believe is due to the consistent work-related usage.

Additionally, while using my phone during work tasks, I have dropped it multiple times, and my screen protector has already been damaged. This has made me concerned about the risk of further damage to my personal device.

Because this is my personal phone, I’m not comfortable continuing to use it for work purposes, especially as it is causing noticeable wear and risk of damage.

I am more than willing to perform all required job duties and would prefer to use store-provided equipment or any alternative methods available.

I appreciate your understanding and support in finding a solution that does not require the use of my personal device.
