[UP Law] Sigma Rho member tried to recruit me by promising connections and influence

My previous post got removed because I attached screenshots, so I’m reposting this without images. But to give context, these were some of the actual messages sent to me during a Sigma Rho recruitment pitch:

“Bro join ka na Sigma Rho”
“We can ensure makakapasok ka” (referring to UP Law)
“Hawak namin sa leeg yung Dean and Assoc Dean”
“Kunwari lang yan sila haters of frats”
“If si Brod Sen Frank Drilon or Brod Raj Palacios or Brod Sonny Angara na nanghingi ng favor”
“Tiklop yang mga yan”
“Konting palo lang para sa kinabukasan”
“Sure na din spot mo sa DICT para maka pag evening student ka bro”
“Promise ok to. Di kita ipapahamak”

The conversation honestly made me uncomfortable because it framed fraternity membership as a way to gain influence, academic leverage, through connections .

Is this normal in UP Law?

If Fortun is for the Dutertes, then V&A is the Marcos/Martin Romualdez Firm
