Never having an all-solid hog always bugged me. My last purchase was in '23, so I thought it was time to make it my first Martin in the process as well. The 000-16 Streetmaster with the aged Ad-spruce/IR nearly hogged my wallet, but I have an OM and a 12 Fret Dreadnought in those woods(albeit both sitka).Besides, the calling of a warm hog tone finally beat the bewitching beauty of the 16's dark back & sides and the wizened lines of the torrefied Adirondack spruce top.

Had kept the GAS in check since 2023. But the fact that I didn't have a solid hog in the armory, let alone a Martin convinced me that I'd waited enough. The 000-16 torrefied Adirondack/IR nearly jumped the line bewitching me with its darker back and sides, but I do have a couple of those (although not ad-spruce) in an OM and a 12 Fret Dreadnought. In short, this one hogged my allowance.
