I've been playing civ 5 a long time and have been actively working on getting better at strategy to finally beat civs consistently on diety. A huge question I have is by the time you get to the atomic age, are nuclear power plants ever worth the investment compared to nuclear missles, or are they wasted hammers? I've always assumed that missles are better, even on non-domination victory runs, but maybe I'm wrong here.
