1 year since filing Innocent Spouse - Should I get a TAS?
Wondering if i need a Tax Assistance Service (TAS) to help me. My innocent spouse claim form for 2024 was received 5/18/2025. No approvals or denials yet. I only got a letter 9/2025 that the Tax examiner has been assigned and to "have patience". But come on...it has been a full year now with no movement, no letters, no updates. My transcript shows it was received and that only just updated in February 2026!
Has anyone used TAS for this? It's getting ridiculous now. If so - how do I go about that and what do they do?
